ABOUT ME

My name is Rebecca Winstanley and I am a Equine and Pet Photographer based in Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

Being a pet owner myself, I understand the special connection a human has with their animals. My goal is to capture those special moments and create images that last as life long memories.

The Horses

I am 100% horse crazy. I have ridden horses since the age of 3 and can't really imagine my life without them.

I had my own horse from the age of 13 and we enjoyed showing and dressage.

I sold him to go to university and have been on the team for three years, where I have focused more on dressage and show jumping (I definitely prefer all four feet on the ground).

When I'm not riding my favourite thing is to watch the Show Hunter Ponies and the M&M's at local and County shows.

The Photography

I feel incredible lucky that I can combine my passion of animals and photography to create a service that I truly enjoy. My job as a photographer is to capture the special moments between a human and their pet, in order to create memories that can be treasured forever.

I first started photography at the age of 16 and am completely self-taught. I am currently a part time equine and pet photographer (whilst balancing my studies with riding) and hope to build my business over the upcoming months.

The Pets

One of the hardest questions I could be asked is 'cats or dogs?' I have always had cats; two black cats when I was little and then recently we rescued two brothers.

I would love to have a dog, but right now I get my dog fix from my friend's dogs.
